Now, PAS to cut ties with PKR

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and other top party leaders had then backed the Amanah candidates in twin by-election's last month
PAS is currently reevaluating its ties with PKR, following the latter's move to support Amanah candidates during two recent by-elections, said its research head Dr Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki.
Zuhdi told news site The Malaysian Mirror that statements from PKR leaders during the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections last month amounted to a betrayal to PAS.
He said PAS's top decision-making body, the Shura Council, would discuss the matter before deciding whether to break ties with PKR.
PAS, which broke ties with DAP last year, has stayed away from any opposition alliance.
In the two by-elections in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar, PAS insisted on fielding its candidates, leading to multi-cornered contests with Pakatan Harapan represented by Amanah.
PKR deputy president and Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and other top party leaders had then backed the Amanah candidates.
Zuhdi said PKR was showing its true face during the two by-elections despite having a political pact with PAS, which he said dated way back to the 1998 jailing of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“PAS still regards itself having ties with PKR. When PKR is weakened after DAP's exit from Barisan Alternatif, we still remained with PKR.
"But now it seems PKR wants to abandon PAS," said Zuhdi.
The recent PAS muktamar saw members from its women's wing urging the party to reevaluate ties with PKR.
A motion from Muslimat PAS will be submitted to the Shura Council.
Zuhdi said the party has been busy compiling evidences of PKR's "betrayal".
He also added that PKR should have stayed neutral in the by-elections
# yang PAS tanding di kerusi PKR bertanding tu bukan "betrayal"?
bangsat punya penilaian penjaja Hudud!
Pada aku padan juga dengan muka Azmin!
